Welcome to Deborah Nourse Lattimore's Spot!
I am the illustrator and author of nearly forty books, most of which are chidren's books, as well as articles and magazine publications about archaeology, Classics,
and Pre-Columbian studies.
Anything in the field of Egyptology fascinates me, too. I worked in the academic field of Ancient Near Eastern Studies at U.C.L.A. for a number of years, studying with Dr. John Callender, Dr. Miriam Lichtheim, Dr. Antonio Loprieno and Dr. Alexander Badawy. I am a member of the Egypt Exploration Organization, the S.C.B.W.I., The Authors' Guild, among others.
This is the first blog I've ever tried to create and I hope that my readers and colleagues will visit me here and let me know what is happening in their worlds.

I would follow this site, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it...
So do you read Elizabeth Peter's Egypt series? I love them!
